"Monica, O My Darling"

"Monica, O My Darling"

Making the most of last weekend, I happened to watch "Monica, O My Darling" the movie. Below are my thoughts on the film.

From the very first shot to the very last frame, the film "Monica, O My Darling" takes the audience on a journey. Special note should be made of the background music selection, which takes the film to new heights.
Vasan Bala's direction is excellent, and he stands for new age directors who are aware of the scene's pulse. Bollywood need not only be about famous actors and producers.
From the very first scene the audience gets to see the murder Nothing is hidden from the audience. The killer, his motivations, his method are all laid out for us to clearly see. From here on, this whodunit starts getting messier and more convoluted but another good part about the movie is that it's still so thrilling and gripping that the audience doesn't wish to even flinch for even once.
Two performers who absolutely steal the show are Rajkumar Rao and Huma Qureshi. Natural and completely suited to her role is Radhika Apte.

At the 2023 Filmfare OTT AwardsMonica, O My Darling received 9 nominations, including Best Web Original Film, Best Director in a Web Original Film (Bala), Best Actor in a Web Original Film (Rao), Best Actress in a Web Original Film (Qureshi) and Best Supporting Actress in a Web Original Film (Apte), and won 4 awards, including Best Web Original Film and Best Actor in a Web Original Film (Critics (Rao).

My former employer's senior employee, whose sibling was involved in the film's production, recommended to watch it.

Panchayat season 3 review

Starring: Jitendra Kumar, Neena Gupta, Raghubir Yadav, Faisal Malik, Sanvikaa, Chandan Roy, Pankaj Jha, Durgesh Kumar

Director: Deepak Kumar Mishra
Producers: TVF
Music Director: Anurag Saikia
Cinematographer : Amitabha Singh
Editor: Amit Kulkarni
I completed the Panchayat series yesterday . I am not discussing the story here to spoil the show for those who have not seen the series.
The strength of Panchayat lies in its simplicity and realistic depiction of rural life. The TVF team has, remained faithful to its original tone and vibes yet again, coming up with bigger themes, letting its characters’ develop further, and creating more dramatic moments.
The writer of the “Panchayat series, Chandan Kumar, carries the feel of the minds and lives of people in a remote village. In the new season, the show reveals more about its characters, their desires, and their dreams, without losing its signature style. The show, which boasts an impressive ensemble cast, makes supporting characters like Bhusan more prominent, along with Vinod and Madhav.
This season, there is a subtle transformation of certain characters. Manju Devi was earlier happy to be behind the scenes; letting her husband call the shots now showcases her political instincts. She is also more supportive when her daughter Rinki (Sanvikaa) wants to get MBA and, later, a job. The triumph of the show’s is that it has shown their natural progression without being preachy.
Understated charm and high-drama in mundane village scenarios have been the show’s highlights. Panchayat capitalises on them while casting its net wide this season. But the series stays within the world of familiar peculiarities and challenges.
Panchayat has once again shown why it is regarded as one of the best Indian web series. Every scene, with its poignant story and engrossing characters, captures the essence of rural India. Deepak Kumar Mishra, director offers something novel and innovative, as always. This time around, much like in the first two seasons, you will remember every character. Faisal Malik stands out with his impactful portrayal of his character.
The show has some engaging moments, and the performances of the other supporting cast, including Raghubir Yadav, Chandan Roy, Pankaj Jha ,Bhusan are brilliantly portrayed. Panchayat cast performance is brilliant and resonates with village life.
In fact, the characters of the supporting artists are neatly written, and everyone makes their presence felt. The ending is pretty good, with a solid cliffhanger and true Panchayat rural life depiction.
