Street food of Delhi

 Street Food of Delhi

I had occasion to try street food during my stay in New Delhi last week. There are a variety of options to choose from when it comes to street food in Delhi. Roadside eateries in New Delhi provide delicious food and without any frills. Where you are served food choices without any waiting time. Delhi and Delhi-ites are known as much for their insatiable appetites as they are for the unending variety of food found in the city.. But what really captures the essence of the city is the street food that changes colour and taste but gets only better with discovering the city.

Indian cuisine available are stuffed chole bhature, melt-in-mouth bhaturas with optimally spiced chhole and special pickled salad is irresistible. Aloo chaat and the tikki, Vegetable Pakode, Pav Bhaji, Chole Kulche, samosa, gol gappas and chaat, kulfi-faluda Another Delhi staple of with a long tumbler of lassi is what has all the customers smacking their lips.Karachi Halwa, loaded with dry fruits locked in an amber colored cube of sugar and cornflour. Then aloo stuffed  loaded parathas is also a speciality. With spiced to enliven taste, the Phirni is a creamy rice flour pudding that originated from Kashmir. The yellow Kesar Phirni is flavoured with saffron which is a favourite dessert of Kashmiris. Although adapted from Kashmir, Phirni is quite famous on the streets of Delhi.
